Whenever you open the app after a period of inactivity, you'll be prompted to enter your 4-digit passcode (PIN). This is the code you created after registering or logging in.
If you're using an Android phone and the passcode entry doesn't work, it is likely because the storage permission is turned off for the Parent Hub app on your device.
Access to storage is required on some Android devices for the passcode to work. This is because the app passcode is stored securely on your phone and, if the storage permission is off, it can't access it.
We're working on a fix for this, but in the meantime just enable the storage permission to get the app up and running again.
PLEASE NOTE: The app DOES NOT access any of your photos or files.
Open your Settings app.
- Scroll to the Applications section, and select Application Manager.
- Scroll down the list and select Parent Hub.
- Tap on Permissions.
- Turn the Storage permission ON.
You should now be able to enter you passcode successfully.
Please note: Not all Android phones operate in the same way and so the instructions above might not be quite right for your particular phone. If that's the case, then a quick Google of how to turn storage permission on on your device should do the trick.
If you follow the steps above and still can't enter your passcode, please contact our Support team on email@example.com.
