Your child's school may send you a response slip when they need to collect consent or payment, or ask you questions.
For example, they may need you to give permission for your child to attend a school trip. If you have more than one child in the school, you might be asked to complete a slip for each child.
Response slips have between 1 and 3 sections, and it is important you complete each section.
You will usually receive a slip message about your child to let you know that a new slip needs filling in. Tap View Slip to begin.
First you will see some basic information about the slip.
Below the dotted line are the section(s) you need to complete - the Slip Response.
Consent
Parent Hub allows you to grant consent via the Parent Hub app. Each consent you give is unique and specific, and the school will provide wording that you should read carefully. You will usually be given the option to decline the consent if you disagree, but this may prevent you from completing the rest of the slip.
For this reason, if consent is required, it is always the first section of a slip. The rest of the slip will be restricted until you have answered the consent.
Questions
If the school needs additional information - for example, to find out what kind of packed lunch your child would like, or to confirm emergency contact details - they'll include questions in the slip.
Please tap View and Respond to complete this section of the slip.
If you do not complete the questions, the slip will stay showing as "PENDING" and the school may contact you to ask you to complete the slip.
Payment
If your child's school collects payment via the Parent Hub app, you'll have the option to pay using credit or debit card, or Apple or Google Pay.
Your card details will be saved for faster payment next time, but you can remove them at any time from the app settings menu.
You may have the option to split payments. In this case, you'll see a pencil button next to the amount. Tap to edit the amount you wish to pay.
Previous slips
You can view your pending and completed slips at any time by tapping Schools > student name > View response slips
Use the filter to find slips you've completed, as well as any closed slips that are no longer available to complete.
