Sometimes called the 'emergency ranking', a contact's priority lets Parent Hub know who to text or email when you need to reach a parent who doesn't yet have the Parent Hub app.
Each student in your MIS usually has a priority 1 and a priority 2 contact. Some families may have both parents listed as priority 1.
Making sure each student has at least one priority 1 contact is usually the quickest fix for:
- Students who show up in red when I send a One-way Message
- Parents who don't receive text messages or emails even though they have a mobile number / email address.
Remember to wait 24 hours for Parent Hub to sync with your MIS after making this change, or sync your data live if supported for your MIS.
