Parent Hub considers anyone with parent responsibility for a current student to be a student contact. In most MIS, this is recorded as a tick-box on the parent's record.
The Parent Support Dashboard highlights any students that have no contacts with parental responsibility, because it means your messages won't be able to reach the parents for that student yet. It'll also prevent them verifying their app account (also know as 'adding their children' in the app).
Fixing this issue is usually a quick-fix for the following:
- A parent is seeing the "PV2 - mobile number not recognised" error when trying to add their children in the app.
- A student is highlighted in red when I send a Direct Message
